The King’s School Nairobi is a Christian school registered with the Ministry of Education and offers the Competency Based Curriculum (C.B.C.) system of education. The school which started operating in 1994, sits on a two-acre piece of land within the Deliverance Church Umoja International compound in Nairobi’s Umoja 1 estate. We are managed by the school management board, which operates as a separate entity from the church management.

Our School

We are a Christian-based school owned by Deliverance Church Umoja. Our teaching approach is child-friendly and is designed to help learners become well-rounded individuals who can live and handle any challenge in any part of the world.

Pre-Primary School

Pre-primary consists of PP1 and PP2. This level takes 2 years.

It targets children in the ages of 4 years to 5 years.

Subjects for pre-primary:

Language Activities.
Mathematical Activities.
Environmental Activities.
Psychomotor and Creative Activities.
Religious Education Activities.
Pastoral Program Instructions (PPI).

Lower Primary

Lower primary consists of grade 1,2 and 3. This level takes 3 years.

The minimum age to join grade one is 6 years.

Environmental Activities.
Creative Activities.
Computer Lessons.

Upper Primary

Upper primary consists of grades 4, 5, and 6. This level takes 3 years.

At this level, learners will have a broad curriculum and they will be given an opportunity for experimentation and exploration.

Junior Secondary School (JSS)

Junior secondary covers grade 7, 8 and 9.

It offers a diverse curriculum for students to explore their abilities and interests. Career guidance is provided to make informed decisions for their next level of education.

Senior school covers grade 10, 11 and 12.

In senior school, students have to select one pathway that they want to specialize in from the three that have been listed below. Each pathway has its own subjects. The three pathways include:

Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
